i have a warrior comming over from prophecies to nightfall and i want to cap steady stance. im up to marga coast (yohlon haven) and dont have sunspear sanctuary yet...is it possible to run to vetehndi valley(or however its spelled) without playing farther into the game?

That valley is up in the Vabbi part of the storyline. As such you'll actually have to play through the missions to reach it (there are no direct routes to it).

Since you've already completed the Consulate Docks mission, you'll need to do 4 more missions to be able to cap it.
